Q?

"ARE THERE ANY TYPES OF OFFENDERS YOU WON’T WORK WITH?"

A.

No. If we have proper disclosure and information sharing from a referring agency, then we know we can put together the right support package. If however we do not get the information we need and deserve, then the chance of failure is increased significantly.

"Q?

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A REFERRAL?"

A.

Usually no more than a few days, but we can do it quicker sometimes. Ideally, we will have some form of ‘lead in’ period during which we can work with the offender, their family and their offender manager to do the best job possible of planning to meet the referring agencies needs and the offenders requirements. This will include matching service user to Mentor, completing the care and support planning process and providing opportunity for some early ‘trust’ development work to be done.

Q?

"HOW DO YOU MANAGE CASE FILES AND DEAL WITH THE NEED FOR THEM TO HELD CONFIDENTIALLY?"

A.

We have a fully secure case management system which we can offer access to for those with clearance. This would typically only be the referring agency and its representative. We aim to update case files on a daily basis (when required) or no more than a few hours after contact with a service user. This means that referring officers and agencies have access to an up to date view on progress. We understand the need to manage personal information well and securely; to that end our systems meet ISO……….

Q?

"WHAT AGE GROUPS DO YOU WORK WITH?"

A.

Our main work is with offenders who have reached a certain ‘risk and threat threshold’ due to their actions and behaviours. This means our main service user group is 16+ in age, but we can work with younger due to how our programme is devised, and provide in support of this, structured family support/intervention programmes.
